Crafting Eternity. Intertextual dynamics, creative processes and local variations in ancient Egyptian religious texts

Understanding the textual productions of Ancient Egypt necessarily involves the study of ‘tradition’, which is a concept that Egyptology has been constantly questioning. In recent years, the notion of canonicity, the relationship between productive and reproductive traditions and the dynamics of textual transmission have been examined. In this conference, we would like to encourage ideas on creative processes in the productions of the different types of religious texts from the first millennium BC to the Roman period.
