On recent research in ancient history
The research colloquium "News from Ancient History" informs about current research in the department of Ancient History as well as in the subject in general. Here, the staff and doctoral students of Ancient History Basel have the opportunity to present their work and to open it up to discussion. However, well-known or - as yet - unknown ancient historians are also invited to give lectures.
