First publication of Jacob Burckhardt's lectures "Ancient History," "Roman History," and "History of the Roman Imperial Era
As part of the new critical edition of Jacob Burckhardt's works, the lectures on Ancient History, on the History of the Roman Republic and on the History of the Roman Imperial Period will be published and annotated for the first time. The edition is to be published as the 23rd volume of Jacob Burckhardt's works (JBW 23). The Swiss National Science Foundation is supporting the project with two staff positions.
