Research
Here you will find information on selected current research projects carried out by lecturers and research assistants of Classical Archaeology, partly with the collaboration of students. Many projects focus on questions of cultural exchange and networked contacts in the ancient world.
In addition to the acquisition of scientific knowledge, the research-based, practice-oriented training of students is in the foreground in the majority of the projects. The latter is especially true for the excavations in Francavilla Marittima (Calabria), which each year offer a group of students the opportunity to gain excavation experience in Italy.
