Inventory and processing of the teaching collection for classical archaeology
Inventory and processing of the Classical Archaeology teaching collection.
The teaching collection of Classical Archaeology includes sherds of various ceramic genres as well as some other groups of finds used for teaching purposes. The majority of these objects come from bequests and donations.
From August 2020 to January 2022, the collection was inventoried. In the process, the nearly 3500 objects were documented photographically. An internal database provides an overview of the collection and lays the foundation for further cataloguing. A scientific reappraisal of partial aspects of the collection's history is planned for 2023 as part of a master's thesis.
