The woods of Roman Egypt: what potential for study?
Most of the wood discovered in Egypt is in a very good state of preservation. Even though wood from the Pharanoic period has been extensively analyzed, wood from the Roman period is still poorly studied. The aim of this lecture is to show the potential for the study of Roman-Egyptian wood: be it through its origin, its distribution, its use or its dating.
